OPEN TO EVERYONE

thanksgiving
11.24.23 | 11 am - 7 pm | sam whitaker's house

Traditionally the club gathers to celebrate Thanksgiving at the President's house. With the shift in the Executive Board taking place not long before the holiday, the club will gather at Samuel Whitaker's home this year. It is an unwritten rule that everyone be respectful of the Whitaker house as they have previously been during holiday celebrations before. Temperatures for the day will not rise above 50 degrees, but to let the children run off some of their energy, the backyard will have a few games set up for them. Toward the end of the evening Santa will arrive to visit the kids of the club.

A TOAST FROM SAM "First off, I wanna welcome everyone: family, friends, brothers in arms. Consider my home yours too, the door is always open for whatever you need. I'd like to thank the ladies who prepared this epic meal for us with so much care. We see you and we appreciate everything you do for us. It's been a trying time, no doubt about it, but this year I'm thankful for the way this family has come together in love and support of one another. And that's what today is all about, isn't it? My heart is full to see you all seated at this table, and I hope for many more celebrations like this. So, let's raise our glasses to that. cheers!"
A PRAYER LED BY TOMMY Lord our God, we thank you for the many blessings in our lives. We give you all the glory for the gifts you have given us: life and health, family and friendship, brotherhood and love. Today we are thankful for all of these gifts but also remember those less fortunate and we pray for those suffering, hungry, and sick. We thank you for this meal and the hands that labored to bring it to our table with love. We ask for your guidance and continued blessings through your Son. Amen.
